Bank BRI
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI or Bank BRI) is one of the largest state-owned banks in Indonesia. Initially, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) was established in Purwokerto, Central Java by Raden Bei Aria Wirjaatmadja under the name of De Poerwokertosche Hulp en Spaarbank der Inlandsche Hoofden [1] or "Prijyi Purwokerto Priority Bank and Deposit Bank", a financial institution serving people Indonesians (indigenous) [need a reference]. The institution was established on December 16, 1895, which was then used as the birthday of BRI.
