ZAKAH

The third basic duty of islam is zakah is the payment of money which a muslim make towards the cost welfare to help people who are needy.Zakah must be paid by those Muslims who have more money than they need to spend.Zakah is paid on the savings which a muslims has kept for a whole year whit out spending.

The payment is two and half,which is two and half pence (cents) for each pound dollar on cahs and the value gold and silver jewelery.There is a different rate for cattle a muslims own and the crops he has grown.

we and our wealth belong to ALLAH.ALLAH gave us all that we have .so we must share our fellow people whe are in hardship.

zakah is not the same as charity (sadaqah ).Zakah is a payment we have to make once each year,and is only spent on the special good causes mentioned .in the QUR'AN (SURAH 9 VERSE 60) charity is something whe choose to give for any good cause at any time.It pleased ALLAH too.ALLAH well give us more if we pay zakah.
