Yes, vampires are the characters in mythology and legend alive by eating the epitome of life (usually in the form of blood) of other living thing. Vampires in the Balkans and Eastern Europe has the appearance of a wide array of (from things like humanity to the living dead) while in Western Europe, a vampire is described as a creature who looked neat and luxury. It is a story The Vampyre (1819).
