I agree! I see many newbies who comment and resteem my post and then sit there and wait for me to come vote on their stuff, but they never interact with anyone else. I'm watching to see if this helps! I'm encouraged by the comments of people asking questions.

This one is easy! You can use the comments on this page as a list, if you want! Click on each name, go to their page and make a comment on one of their posts. Do that 10 times and make 10 new friends and then come back here and say I DID IT!

I'm sorry miss @melinda010100, in the past week I was in the mood of Eid al-Adha. To work in the steemit community, I just made post and than offline. There have been several responses that I have given to friends in the Steemit community.
