The artist was born in 1708 in Exeter. About Francis childhood and artistic education practically nothing is known. However, it is believed that his love for creativity is realized from an early age. That is why already at a young age Heyman worked as a stage designer in the dramatic theater of the British capital Drury Lane, and was several times invited to a minor role as an actor at Goodmen's Field Theater

After a while, the artist received real fame, and with it, most of London's major orders. He was the one who had the opportunity to produce art paintings in the Vauxhall-Garden pavilion - the most important public recreation and entertainment place of the day.

In 38 years, Francis wrote several works on religious moral topics for Home Education. Later he also became the author of many illustrations of books, including William Shakespeare's work and popular by then John Milton's novels, Samuel Richardson, John Pope and William Congreve.

In masterpieces there is rococo elegance and lightness that is typical with style, with light tones that seem to shine in some parts. The paintings are mostly small.
