In this blog I just want to say something interesting about Indian traditions... India is a traditional country in many state different traditional systems are followed here and in South India Kerala,Karnataka,Tami Nadu,Andra Pradesh,thelangana these states follows the common thing that is kolam
Kolam is also called as rangoli which is drawn on flat surface let's see it's history..
History
The origin of this kolam was 5000 years ago to the prearyan period. This kolam is drawn in flat surface the main tool is rice flour is used to draw this kolam , the reason behind this rice flour is the ant and insects use this rice flour as their food and also the elder believe that the kolam welcome the Goddess Lakshmi in to the house...and also drives away the evil spirits and also add the asthetic value to the home...
This rangoli was drawn by me and my sister.. this type of colourful rangoli usually drawn in occasion festival time..
And also cown dungs used to wax the floor which also cow dung has the antiseptic properties..
And also my mom regularly draw this kolam Infront home she also believe the Goddess Lakshmi will give prosperity and good health to our family....
