Hello my Dearest Foodies,

October is here and so is colder weather. Although, I don't know what's happening today, because we are having 30 C and storm warning, lol.

Anyway, I am pretty sure this is the last of the hot temperatures, there for, bowl of warm porridge could be the perfect item on your breakfast menu. It will warm you up in the morning and give your body boost with all the nutrition that you need. Besides all that,it is extremely tasty ๐Ÿ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ

QUINOA PORRIDGE
Quinoa Porridge with Chia, Almond Butter & Pear
Vegan โ€“ Gluten Free
Author: Lenaโ€™s Vegan Living

INGREDIENTS
โ€ข Quinoa flakes 1/2 cup
โ€ข Plant-based milk 2 cups (I use cashew milk)
โ€ข Chia 1 tbs
โ€ข Raw coconut sugar to taste
โ€ข Baobab 1 tbs
โ€ข Hemp seeds 1 tbs
โ€ข Almond butter to taste
โ€ข Maple Syrup to taste
โ€ข Pumpkin spice to taste
โ€ข Sliced or cubed pears and other fruits of your choice

PROCESS
โ€ข Bring milk into boil and add quinoa flakes.
โ€ข Reduce the heat and stir until the mixture thickens.
โ€ข Take it off the heat, add sugar, chia and baobab and stir well.
โ€ข Transfer to bowl.
โ€ข Top with fruits and hemp seeds.
โ€ข Drizzle with almond butter and maple syrup.

Howdy Miss Lena! Pear porridge? With the superfood quinoa? Oh and Hemp seeds?? I didn't know people were eating hemp seeds, are those good for you? I didn't know quinoa came in flakes either, I'd like to have those like a breakfast cereal too. Wow, so many superfoods in one dish!

But it's still hot and sweaty here. 30 would feel like a cold front!

I guess for you would be better chia pudding for now. Or smoothie with hemp seeds, lol. So you didn't know they are superfood too?

Holy smokes I need to get me some of those! I knew about Hemp oil and hemp plant used for material and ropes and things but I didn't even know about the seeds! I need the seeds, we need the seeds, everyone needs the seeds! lol. Another great superfood. But wait, I bet they are real expensive aren't they? you might have to send me some when you get rich and famous!

Well, they are not cheep, but I am sure you can afford them. One bag lasts long, because you only need little bit to sprinkle on your salad or smoothie.

What section of the grocery store or Walmart are they in? The seed section? lol.

I'm already a nutjob so I don't know if I need any more but I will anyway. I didn't know they had a seed and nut section!

You are right about that, lol. And yes they do, but it is mixed whit other stuff, like dried fruits, snacks and even some chewy candies.

That looks delicious. Fun way to make boring porridge an appetizing dessert. I would prefer oatmeal, but I wouldn't not eat it if somebody made it this way with quinoa.

You can make it with oatmeal too, but quinoa has much higher nutritional content, especially protein. Thank you for visiting ๐Ÿ˜Š
