Hasina urged to increase relations for peace and prosperity in Asia

Sheikh Hasina called on the program titled 'Asian Leaders Round Table: Can Asia Key Grooving?' Organized by the Commonwealth Business Forum at London Guild, on Wednesday noon.

Commenting on Asia's achievements in the last 70 years, Sheikh Hasina said that the economical successes of Asian countries are considered 'Mirakal' by many economists and scholars.

Sheikh Hasina warned that economic development is creating prosperity as well as creating discrimination.

He also highlighted the challenges for stability, including terrorism, conflict and financial shock.

Emphasizing on increasing investment for young people including women and women to overcome these challenges, the Prime Minister said, "We have to face the challenges of Asia with our consciousness and integrated intellectual property."

Sheikh Hasina said that the need to increase skilled manpower to run the future Asia through research, innovation and technology.

He hoped the organization's role in promoting trade and investment between the Commonwealth countries and utilizing the creative power of youth power.

Sheikh Hasina called on 60 percent of the population in the Commonwealth countries as huge assets, utilizing this huge resources to the leaders, creating a labor market, keeping the trade market open and emphasizing transparency.

The Prime Minister gave some proposals to increase trade and investment and innovative cooperation between the Commonwealth countries.

He proposed to study and evaluate the risks of industrialization and productivity, investment policies, strategies and facilities on account of industrialization.

Hasina also proposed to improve trade equipments and facilities, reduce non-tariff barriers, increase infrastructure, increase free market and increase communication.

Besides, he also proposed the formation of funds for the use of technology, capacity building, institutional cooperation, microcredit and the development of Blue Economy.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and Chief Coordinator of SDG Abul Kalam Azad were also present on the occasion.
