Freewrite Day 370 Not in My Neighborhood

I’m feeling very scattered about home today and all week at least. I'm not in my neighborhood, because I do not really have one. I have lived so many places, that long ago I decided that anyplace I am for one night is home. That’s the only way you can think of it when you are on the move with no place to go back to.

A lot of people ask my how I did it – moved to SE Asia without knowing anything about the place or having connections or much money. I did it the way I have ever moved anywhere. I just get up and go. I do not know how you stay in one place.

People get in an uproar when something happens that they do not like where they live, but they do not move. Instead they talk about the old days before the bad thing came and try to figure out how to make it go away. This leads to stress. I find it less stressful to just not worry about the thing or if it is too bad – I just leave.

When you say, “not in my neighborhood” you are saying your neighborhood is better or more special than anywhere else. I do not think of it that way. None of us really has a place in this world. We are only on loan here for a short while.

The whole world is our neighborhood. You just don't realize that if you only stay in one place.

My post is for the #freewrite daily challenge by @mariannewest. Freewrite is a great way to post on steemit when you do not think you have the time, or talent, or anything to say. I know you can do this too! Here is Marianne’s freewrite prompt post for today. Give it a try and surprise yourself.

Nice work you have here.

Hello,
I enjoyed this post very much. Have you always been on the go or us this something you staryed since losing weight? I am struggling in my life as I never have before. It i s a long story I don't want to bore you with. You are very inspirational to me.

Aw! Thank you! You would not bore me, I am sure. I have been moving since birth. My dad moved us a lot and then I was a runaway in my teen years, and then I just kept going after that. I don't really know another way, and if I stay too long somewhere I get too much stuff!

I understand that. In 2014 I had Life changing things up and am I got rid Most everything I own. Things did not change in the last 4 yrs and everything I own is not much. Fits in the trunk of my car.

Moving on - a good way to think and to be!
For so many people, moving on just doesn't happen. Stuck in memories of the past, or stuck where they are - they've put down roots, they've been here "too long," they don't want to start over in a new place. You've heard the long, long list of reasons (excuses) why people remain stuck in a situation they complain about but do nothing to change.
I like your insight that "not in my backyard" implies being in a superior position over whoever would encroach into "my" yard.
And the legal ramifications, the ownership, the territorial ways of people and animals alike - you cover it all in a few short words!

The whole world is our neighbourhood.

That is a good one @fitinfun :)

Hereby, I am delivering the next prompt to you, here it is, check it out! It is 'laughter.'
