Raindrops on Flowers

in #esteem6 years ago

Rain can help you see things from a different point of view. Some people see rain as enemy, a phenomenon that makes your life difficult.

From the photographer point of view rain can give you something special. Wet nature is beautiful, raindrops are fun.

This is a dahlia from the garden, preparing to open.

And here it is, fully open.

Beautiful dahlia!
I love these raindrops 😀

I know, me too 😉

I love rain... maybe because it's so rare where i live

We had plenty these weeks and it's not over yet.

Send some here!

Gladly! Where that "here" would be? 😀

Long Beach California

Thank you!

Ah, that's too far :)

I love the color of the Dahlia and the raindrops always add a special touch to them.

Great photos! I do like dahlias, even if they are more work than others. Here we have to dig them in the fall and replant each spring. Do you?

No, my father is sending me to the nursery every hear and Iám buying seedlings. Sending me means there is one in the village and we tend to help locals, you know the concept, Km 0. :) Plus it's cheaper and I get a discount often.

Ah, that's a good way to do it!

We also use seeds from time to time but that's highlyunlikely to be successful, unfortunately. So the best way is this greenhouse.

Most of the hybrid tubers are so expensive that you really need to dig and protect them over the winter! Our growing season would be much too short to even attempt seeds!

Oh, sorry to hear that. Well, the weather is not so cold here, the gardening season is from March to October, mostly. How about over there?
