Careful How You Edit Your Posts!
Today I'd like to point out a common mistake that many of you don't even know it's a mistake.
source
Many of you are editing your posts after being published for various reasons. This is fine, it is allowed and you have no choice if you see a mistake or want to add something. However, there's something you have to pay attention to in order to avoid complications.
If you're editing your post after being published, make sure to use the same dapp as the one you have published your post with. If you don't, the second dapp will overwrite the data and your post will appear as written with the second dapp. This wouldn't be a problem but many of you are counting on a curator upvote and you may not get one as the bot could not detect your post for the mentioned reason.
Three days ago eSteem Surfer 2.2 was released with new features.
This time we've added options to spend your ESTM tokens to boost your posts (get powerful upvotes) or to promote them to all eSteem users. Promoted posts are randomly shown in user feed now. source
Editing your post with another dapp can cause you to lose the sponsoring or boost you have paid for using your points and the curator upvote as well.

For me it does not matter to the fee if I have to edit my post to be correct. But your information is important to be noted. Thanks @erikah. Have a nice day.
I guess there is some confusion, there's no fee here. Have a nice day you too.
Thank you.
I learned this the hard way. just recently joined steem about 6 months ago my third or fourth post I believe it was... I had authored the post originally in partiko, edited on either steemit or esteem.... I forget... But bottom line was the end result was a mess... Lol.

Yes, unfortunately many people learn this the hard way. Sorry to hear you were one of them. Now you know.
This is a nice post....great information.

Thank you.
Wow, nice info!
I recently made a move to eSteem app.
Initially was started using the mobile version (android), it still has lots of bugs tho.
But, the desktop app (I use Mac) is far better.
Posting in Steemit will never be the same anymore!
Nowadays I don't use Steemit for blogging since many months.
I use either Busy.org or nowadays more often the eSteem Surfer desktop application.
I currently use the eSteem Surfer 2.2.0 on Windows 7 (32-bit).
The application is working good with the exception of being slow and laggy sometimes, but that is probably because I currently use an old (13 years old) laptop (Toshiba Satellite A110-110), and the performance of this laptop is probably not enough to properly run the application.
But it could be a software bug too. We will see it in the newer versions of the application.
I am using the desktop app and it's nothing wrong with the speed. Must be your laptop or the internet connection.
A new mobile update is coming soon so stay tuned.
Sweet!
Can't wait for this!
This is good post ... and yes lot don't know that " you must use same app if you make some change."
I go shere it on my pages also ;)
Thank you.
