At present, bitcoin remains in the red, although it has regained in value over the past couple of hours to reach $9,208 at 10.09pm.
Goldman Sachs has also predicted that it risks sinking below its February low of $5,922, although Sheba Jafari, who leads the analysis team behind the price predictions, is known for being a bitcoin critic.
At this stage, it is too early to know if the market is in a strong place to rally.
