Hi steemians! How are you today? I hope you are good. Today I want to share about Get to know Solstis.

Astronomical phenomena are always interesting to observe. Phenomena caused by the interaction of celestial bodies or space objects always occur in the universe. Even unique events can take place periodically or routinely. For example, it occurs every year on the same date. One of the astronomical phenomena that always happens every year is the solstice event.

Solstis is an astronomical phenomenon as a solstice. Solstices occur due to the apparent movement of the sun when the earth rotates in a tilted state. The rotation slope of this earth can reach around 23.5 degrees. This results in times when there are days when the north pole is leaning toward the sun. On the other hand the North Pole will stay away from the sun. Vice versa. Therefore the solstice will occur twice a year ie setuap June 21 and December 21.

On June 21, the north pole will lean toward the sun so that summer occurs in the northern hemisphere. Meanwhile in the southern hemisphere there will be winter. It is estimated that the solution that took place on June 21 will take place at around 22.54 West Indonesia Time. One of the events felt by those who are in the North Sumatra is the longest day of the year. This is due to the early sunrise and will be late for sunset. Thus there will be a longer afternoon and a shorter night.

What about those who live in the south pole? They will feel the opposite. Those in the south pole will experience a longer night compared to daylight. But there is December 21, the opposite event will occur. This event only occurs in the northern and southern hemisphere. How about Indonesia?

Source

Indonesia is a country that is on the equator line. Thus, Indonesia will not feel a longer daytime event or a longer night. Day and night in Indonesia is relatively the same throughout the year which is around 12 hours. Likewise with the season. Indonesia has only experienced a dry season due to this solstice event. As a sub-tropical country, Indonesia does not experience summer and winter. Enjoy the solstice for the inhabitants of the earth in the northern and southern hemisphere.

Thank You and Be Useful, @darmawanbuchari
