Greeting for the day !!!
Today I am going to introduce you guys with the one of the beautiful asset of my city “ The leisure valley”.
Leisure valley is very popular tourist attraction in Chandigarh city which is also known as the “Lungs of Chandigarh”.
Being the garland of the beautifal gardens, Leisure Valley is always contributing to the beauty of the city.
The 8 km long linear stretch was designed with a goal to covert Chandigarh into the city of gardens and to provide a place to the natives where they can enjoy in their leisure time at a clean environment and breathe in fresh air.
The series of gardens:
The one end of the valley starts from Rajendra Park in Sector 1 and ends at Sector 53.
Starting from sector 1, the garden is created as to do Yoga Practices, long walks or fitness workout. This is streched till sector 3.
It also covers the splendid garden of roses in Sector 16. Various types of gardens are set up in leisure valley from 1 sector to 53 sector.
Leisure valley is a combination of 12 beautifully created and maintained gardens which includes Rajendra Park, Rose Garden, Topiary Park, Terrace Garden, Fitness trails, Shanti Kunj, Botanical Gardens, Hibiscus Garden and Smriti Upvan. Each garden has its own attraction points and specialty that attracts tourists not just from India but also the international crowd.
The popular rose carnival is a three day long annual festival celebrated in the month of February. One among the major festival of India. It is organised to display different varieties of roses and people visit in huge number to witness the beauty.
So far I visited only two out of twelve gardens of leisure valley, I am planning to visit them all very soon and I will be posting about them here with you guys. Till then stay connected.
