Drop the Ball You ButterFinger
Back in 2013, Butterfinger celebrated it's 90ish celebration.
Note that the celebration is for the candy not when it was bought by Nestle.
In this regard, Butterfinger is a 1920s candy. One that's cemented in the history of candy making. It's old and it's still alive.
If we go by the year 1923, Butterfinger is 95ish this year. And I don't think it's going away any time soon. So expect that it will be a centenarian candy by the year 2023.
History
Butterfinger has the Nestle logo. But it didn't start from Nestle.
Curtis Candy Company was the first company to create such a treat and it was a popular candy along with Baby Ruth. Let's not forget the name Drew Seibold of Florence, Wisconsin, the inventor.
Butterfinger is actually sports-related. It refers to someone who can't hold on to a ball.
