MULTIPLY
The Advanced Learners Dictionary defines multiply as "to increase the amount, degree or number of something". While multiplication states the process or method of calculating in which you add a number to itself a particular number f times...a large increase in size, amount of number of something.
In the study of population, we have arithmetical growth and geometrical growth. The arithmetical growth is multiplication of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc. while geometrical growth is double e.g. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 60, 120, 180, 360...etc.
When we talk about multiplication, we are referring to geometrical progression. The first development you should experience in life initially should be fruitfulness. After some session, you should graduate to multiplication geometrically. What do we mean?
The scripture says that it is the will of your father to give you the promise. There should be a time in your life when you only feed yourself. You take care of yourself alone. You clothe yourself and concern is only for yourself alone. You can afford to live in a small room and you'll be comfortable. As time go on, you'll discover that the place will be too small for you.
2kings 6:1-2 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us. Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.
The sons of the prophets were experiencing fulfillment of prophesy. They were being fruitful. Not too long the testimonies being recorded is increasing on a daily basis. More young prophets were joining the move and Elisha had more disciples than Elijah. He succeeded his Boss and doubled the work. The Disciples discovered that their house has no more conductive for them. They had to enlarge their abode as Jabez prayed.
1 Chron. 4:9-10. And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
When you are in a particular location for 10 years and you don't record positive changes or testimonies, the possibility of getting tired is not an overstatement. Moreover, you could remain in the same location but doing well in other areas, there should be aspiration for enlargement.
Elisha first had the aspirations to multiply what his master left behind. His desires for double of the anointing upon Elisha was carnal.
When you are fruitful, you should go to higher level of multiplication. It doesn't matter if you are the first to do what you are doing. Farmers who are fruitful can only feed their family from their produce. When they desire to multiply, then they will expand their farm to produce in very large quantity to sell to the populace.
Gen. 26:12-16 - Until you are blessed and become the blessed and envied by others, you are yet to experience multiplication.
2Pet. 3:9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
In reference to the multiplication in Egypt for a period of 7years 100% multiplication. The whole world at that time went to Egypt to buy. They bought for 7 years, yet, they couldn't exhaust it.
If what you have is only for you and your family or local church, you are in the realm of fruitfulness. When your life is imparting people in other community or countries, you have clocked multiplication level.
Jesus Christ started being fruitful when He turned water to wine for some guests at the marriage program. He was being fruitful to His immediate family at home, to His parents and younger ones. John 2:1-5"
Multiplication starred in His ministry when His word is making impart on the community and the people of Israel in general. He started feeding 5,000 then 4,000 people with leftovers. Matt.14:15-22. His multiplication was at the peak after His death and resurrection. Twelve disciples increased to millions of believers including I and you.
In Gen. 14:14-16, the scriptures made us to see that Abraham divided himself among His 318 servants to fight and win. You must divide yourself or reproduce yourself among people to carry out God's purpose.
The vision of your life is not for you alone. Share it with people of like passion. Do not be afraid of losing out. If truly the vision is from God, He will give you the grace to be the pioneer. Don't feel inferior or intimidated by anybody. You will multiply greatly. The Lord will send men to your life to help you marvelously until you'll be strong 2 Chron. 26:15.
The power of multiplication is a sign that you are not selfish and you buy truly love God. The multiplication effect on you shows the vision is enlarged more than you. So you should be faithful and contented with what God ask you to do. As you remain faithful, you are qualified for the multiplication level.
Until you are blessed and become a blessing, you are yet to begin the purpose of faithfulness.
Psalm 23:5 Thou preparesta table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
It is good to be fruitful but you must graduate to the multiplication level. It is when your cup runs over that other people around you can drink from it. As they come to drink, you will not be dry, but at the fruitful level, its only for survival. you will multiply abundantly in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord is encouraging you to see beyond your locality. Keep blessing your generation. There are other people from other culture waiting to benefit from your life, you can't afford to deny them.
Two people (Adam and Eve) were fruitful with Cain and Abel and their sisters. They multiplied greatly till today with above 7 billion people on the surface of the Earth. Considering the dead people since creation of the world, you will notice the number should've been above 20 trillion people all together.
You will be fulfilled in life when you realize time to rest is not yet. The scripture says... this is not your rest! Isaiah 60:1-5.
When you have passion for the things that concerns God, God will multiply you. There is no regrets in God.
