# Ulog 24: A Mountain Of Food (Govardhan Puja)

Dear friends Good Morning!!!

Friends, As you know today is Govardhan Puja or Annakoot (translated as “a mountain of food”) as it is also known, is a Hindu Festival. This is also big festival so it's official holiday on today.
Friends, I wish you happy Govardhan Puja or Annakoot to @eSteem family. We have different different story about this festival.
Today, We worship to Cow because she is very valuable his milk is healthy for human. We like cow as a god and worship of cow.

We make large vegetarian foods and give to cow and worship.
When God Indra has overconfidence then God Krishna realise to him about it. Once upon a time, When all villagers was going to worship then Krishna asked to her mother about worship and she told they was going to worship to God Indra then He told you need worship Govardhan Hill because it is giving grass to our cow and cow is valuable for us. God Indra don't give anything us and he has overconfidence then All villagers think, that is good all was agreed. When Indra looked, All villagers is going to worship to Govardhan Hill then He angry and started rain for seven days then Bhagwan Shri Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill to provide the villagers of Vrindavan shelter from torrential rains. The incident is seen to represent how God will protect all devotees who take singular refuge in him.
In last god Indra feel he didn't simple human something is wrong then meet to God Brambha and he told him Krishna is not only simple boy. He is part of God Vishnu. Then he feel apologies. We have a lot of stories and funny villagers stories about this festival but we don't have time we will make post about it in another day.
