Robi Foreg in 64 districts

As the first mobile phone operator, Robi Axiata has launched the fourth generation (FourG) telecommunication service in 64 districts of the country. Today, Robi subscribers will receive this service from Tuesday.

Robi organized a program at Bangabandhu International Conference Center, Dhaka for this. It was the chief guest at the post, telecommunications and information technology minister Mustafa Jabbar. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed, Postal and Telecommunication Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Chairman (BTRC) Shahjahan Mahmud were special guests.

It was informed that in all the districts of the country, around 500 sites or mobile towers for mobile services were made available for the service of FourGs. Mossafa Jabbar said the standard of network and services must be increased. For this, the government will cooperate with all types of operators.

Malaysian ambassador Noor Ashikin Binti Mohammad Ayub was also present on the occasion.
