KEK Lhokseumawe and Sabang region are key to the progress of Aceh

Not yet have the maximum impact on the economic development of the Acehnese people, the Trade Commercial Entity and the Sabang Free Port are required to be more creative, innovative and committed to advancing Sabang.

The request was emphasized by the Governor of Aceh, Irwandi Yusuf when inaugurating the officials of the Commercial and Trade Entity of Sabang Free Port on Thursday (22/03/2018), in the multipurpose room of Setda Aceh.

"The newly inaugurated management must be more creative, innovative and strongly committed to advancing Sabang," said Irwandi.

Irwandi who is also Chairman of the Board of Sabang Area, said, since it was formed per year 2000 ago, the Agency for the Management of Trade Area and Free Port of Sabang has not given an optimal economic impact. Whereas Sabang area is very strategic as one of the gates in the Strait of Malacca which became the busiest sea lane in the world.

Lately, Sabang began to wriggle starting from the development of the tourism sector. So Sabang must be one of the best marine tourism destinations in the world, "he said.

It is said, the entry point of a regional development is a tour. The development of tourism will be followed by other sectors. The Sabang Government and the Sabang Free Trade and Seaport Business Entities are required to collaborate with Phuket and Langkawi so that these two areas can have a positive effect on Sabang's development.

The Provincial Government of Aceh, Irwandi said, will again hold an international event in Sabang City. In the middle of this year there will be Sabang Marathon International Festival.

Furthermore, it is said that the Seaport Free Trade Entity and Sabang Free Port must maintain the achievements that have been there.
