Crab Eater Seal Teeth.
The mouth of the crabeater seal is uniquely adjusted to eat Antarctic krill by acting like a sieve. The hungry Crabeater will take a sip of water, cover his jaw, squeeze water through his teeth and filter out all krill, which he then consumes. This microscopic Krill consists of more than 90% of the seals diet (although its name, seals don't really eat crabs).
As explained by scientist Simorn Miles, "the same thing that supports 100,000 of these [predatory seals] also supports a 100-foot long blue whale." Surprised? Do not be. With estimates of 500 million tons of biomass, Antarctic krill, according to some estimates, is the most abundant animal species on the planet.
