We all know if dinosaurs were extinct millions of years ago.
But in fact, there are several species that have survived to this day.
Some are hiding deep in the sea.
Others are in the middle of a dense forest.
5 species of dinosaurs that still exist today. :
1. Frilled Sharks

This shark species lived during the Cretaceous period that began about 145 million years ago, and can still be found today.
The frayed shark has 300 sharp teeth, and can grow up to two meters.
Because the appearance resembles many snakes that mistakenly think of it as a sea serpent.
Frilled sharks eat mostly squid, and live in deep oceans.
It is very rare for humans to find shriveled sharks, but sometimes caught by fishermen.
2. Hagfish

The oldest fossil found by this species dates from 300 million years ago.
Fish hag lived millions of years before dinosaurs, and still survive until now.
His ability to survive is amazing.
Based on the fossils of hag fish found, this type is virtually unchanged.
Hag is one of the most bizarre animals with a skull, but no spine, two brains, almost blind, and a special substance that damages the gills of other fish.
3. Coelacanth

Coelacanth is considered extinct along with dinosaurs, but was recently discovered in South Africa, and has since been more commonly found.
Despite surviving mass extinctions, it is now critically endangered.
Coelacanth can grow up to two meters.
The food is smaller fish.
They have lived for over 400 million years.
4. Sturgeon

Sturgeon is a fish species measuring six meters.
It weighs up to 4,400 pounds.
Sturgeon has an incredible life span, because it can live until the age of 100 years and has existed since hundreds of millions of years ago.
These fish do not attack humans unless you disturb them, but sometimes jump out of the water and destroy the fishing boats.
5. Birds

In 1861 a fossil was found from a creature that appeared to be half a dinosaur, half a bird.
This discovery is a big test that leads to the idea that some dinosaurs survived mass extinctions.
The theory mentions that the birds that are present come from dinosaur species.
Dinosaurs can successfully evade natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions due to their flying ability.
This species uses its feathers to regulate their body heat, helping to survive in extreme weather.
