William's Torren Tower, Where Is It?
William's Torren lighthouse is located in the western end of Indonesia, Meulingge, Pulo Breuh, Pulo Aceh, Aceh Besar.
This lighthouse was built in 1875. The name of William's Torren Lighthouse was taken from Dutch ruler, William Alexander Paul Frederich Lodewijk. And Toren means a tower. This tower is also one of King William's wedding gift for his queen. However, this tower functioned at that time to guide the ship that come into the Port of Sabang and Ulee Lheu.
This building was built for the needs that can be hundreds of years. So until now this lighthouse still stands firmly. This tower is only three in this world: in Aceh, in Netherlands, and in Caribian Island; the location of the Pirates of Caribian was shot. But in Netherlands, this tower has become a museum.
This lighthouse has 85 meters. To reach the top of this tower, we must climb the ladder which is under 80 meters.
While at the top of this tower, we will be presented with a vast blue ocean that streched of the skyline. We can see the green trees that can make our eyes and mind fresh. And we can also see beach with clean sand and blue water as if we want to swim and dive into it.
