BANDUNG - Youth Association of Aceh (Ikapa) Bandung, held the inauguration of the new management period 2018-2019 in the hall of Aceh Dormitory Wisma Teuku Umar, District Cicendo, Bandung, Saturday (05/12/2018). The event that carried the theme 'Ta mumat jaroe ta duk meusapat, ta wake up nanggroe yah' was attended by all youth and students from Aceh from various campuses in the city of Bandung.
Ikapa Chairman, Nahar Fazlan, said that Ikapa is an organization that houses various student and youth units from Aceh in Bandung with the aim of embracing and creating a sense of kinship, brotherhood, and unity among Acehnese units in Bandung. "Well, then Ikapa wants to teach how to collaborate and cooperation. In order for Aceh students in Bandung continue to work together and build a solid brotherhood to build Aceh later. Since Aceh is our home, Aceh needs us as the next generation of Aceh youth who will build Aceh someday, "he said
General Secretary of Aceh Community Family of Bandung (Kamaba), Syahrial, said, Aceh students struggle now is different from the first. According to him, when it was founded in 1999, Ikapa stood by political factor, which at that time was still a war between Aceh (GAM) and RI. Ikapa then fight for the struggle of the people of Aceh from Bandung. "Now it's different, Aceh is now peaceful, but now Aceh has not been prosperous. Well, now Ikapa must fight for the welfare of Aceh, start moving in the context of the present. When there is a problem in Aceh, look at it from Ikapa's point of view, then voice it out as a student, "he concluded.
