Esteem, My Support And Backbone.
My Story Before I Met Esteem
When I first joined Steemit I was so confused or in otherwords, clueless as to how everything runs. It just seemed like digesting so much of information within a very short time interval.
The huge potential payouts in the trending page, the influence some people had, the number of posts that make it to the front page in seconds, the number of times people post, the number of high quality posts that receive little or no reward, the number of accounts that have been abandoned, the struggle to make high quality contents, all these things brought me to a point which was "How Do I Cope??? "
I played around a few days just trying to get the feel of what it feels like to being here and I arrived to one conclusion which was "You really have to work so hard here to not only be at the top but also to stay at the top"
I made a couple of posts, in which I got no rewards but I kept on kicking with a strong belief that someday, my hardwork would pay off but I still felt something was missing.
There was this day I was about posting something on Steemit and a question popped up from no here(i guess in my mind), the question was "Does Steemit have an App?? Maybe thats how these whales get more engagements" it sounds funny but I made up my mind in my mind that the whale were using the Steemit app to post and that was the reason why they made so much in rewards, One could dream? Ehhh?? Lol
After I Met Esteem
I launched my browser to check out if there was an app for Steemit via google, my search goes thus, "steemit android app" I got alot of results but I opened the first search result which displayed 3 steemit related apps just as you can see below I clicked on "Esteem" which directed me to google play store from where I now installed it, I felt accomplished during those moments.
I had this feeling of being closer to achieving greatness, Lol.
I had esteem all set up and running, made a couple of posts with a mind of "You will definitely be rewarded for this"
but to utmost surprise I wasn't.
As a result of this I proceeded in making some random search via Steemit custom search which goes thus "How to become rich with esteem app" I was shown some results which didn't really answer my question until I navigated a little further down the search results and got a post from a user, which had alot of rich information of esteem. It's content covered the following:
How you get rewarded for using esteem:
Although you don't get rewarded all the time. According to @yandot in an official esteem telegram group where I joined recently ,the reward is done randomly.
Writing contents with the esteem app and saving them as drafts for future.
Schedule posting:
It involves using esteem to post at a particular/preferred point in time. This feature comes in handy for those of us with very busy/heavy schedule(work work work). With esteem you would be able to schedule as much post as you want and at any day, time or date.
Making transactions with Esteem app with no additional charges:
Transaction has been made easier on the esteem app because unlike the browser, you no longer need to re-type you master key to initiate a transaction. I see this as a plus but that doesn't mean steemit via browser sucks, I think that for security reasons.
The flexible functionalities Of esteem.
In conclusion, I was satisfied and at the same time enlightened because I used to think esteem was responsible for the reward those in with huge pending payouts in the trending page had unknown to my ignorance that they worked hard to be in that position and level of success today.
Esteem has really affected my life in a very positive way in the sense that:
With just a few clicks, I make posts way more easily than when I do with my web browser.
Image upload is way more faster with esteem
I schedule when my posts are made public to the community.
Upvotes from esteem app: Team esteem made it a necessity to reward peeps who use their app. for me, it's a plus.
My Final Conclusion
If you don't have esteem installed yet, my advice go get it now because it is indeed a life saver.
Appreciation
I appreciate it's developers for doing a great job on it and I encourage them not to relent but to keep bringing out their best in its developments and take esteem to its full possible potentials.
A big thanks goes @yandot @good-karma @esteemapp for their efforts so far, we the community appreciate❤❤❤ and celebrate❤❤❤ you, Thank You👌💪👍
