Do Not Try to Co-Exist with an Imperialist War Machine

in #essay7 years ago

I do not try to co-exist with an imperialist war machine any more than I absolutely must.

The state is the enemy of humanity. It is a an octopus slithering its tentacles into your brain, your family, your home, your reality.

It programs yours and your children’s reality from a young age, as you send them to indoctrination. “I pledge allegiance, to the pole rag, of the Cannibalistic State of America.”

But what is “It”? “It” is the state, which consists of the government, banks, media, army, and corporations that uphold the existing order of baronial exploitation.

Who are the barons? The barons may be governors of Ohio or Indiana. Maybe Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac executives. Maybe anchors or reporters of CNN or Fox. Generals or admirals. CEOs or board members.

Whatever their dissenting interests and conflicting portfolios, they share profit from tyranny, inflation, disinformation, war, and regulation.

It is in defiance of these sins that I do not vote for masters. Nor solicit loans. Nor watch television. Nor support armed action. Nor desire laws.

Voting is the consent of serfs binding themselves to the lords of the manors: White houses, state houses, or town halls. Usurers own their debtors. TV and armies think for their viewers. Corporations write the laws.

I can see why people who are ground under the state’s heels clamor for its charity: Government robs us of money and natural opportunities for easier ways of living and improving the world. It feels only natural to “take back” from the government.

No one “takes” from the government. Everything the government gives you was taken from someone else. Handouts are robbery by proxy. And that handout comes with a bill: Partial ownership of the soul of the recipient.

To accept a handout is to accept the prisons that tax resisters are jailed in, to accept the police needed to jail them, the IRS to track them, the corporations that act as income tax collectors. I don’t say this out of greed. There’s no virtue signalling in abhorring misery, poverty, and injustice, in loving beauty, prosperity, and liberty.

There is no way to live ethically in this corpse society that thrives on suffering; to play by its rules is to spread servitude. The whole thing must be starved and uprooted and something new seeded in its place.

“Do not uphold the hand that strangles Life. Align yourselves with the dreamers of the Better Day. The cause is worthy, the need urgent. The future looks towards you, its voice calls you, calls.” -Emma Goldman

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” - R. Buckminster Fuller
