RE: Is EOS a Pedocoin and Is Alan Greenspan Satoshi? Bix vs. Berwick
Great work Jeff. Did you guys plan to talk about how Bix thinks there is a plan of good guys in government working for Trump vs bad guys in government, and how Bix thinks government knows whats best for everyone?
Without intrinsic commodity value or the force of a government, Greenspan claims, there’s no way to “back up” a currency. Bitcoin is worthless as an exchange medium, he says, because it has no such backing. - Does this sound like he invented Bitcoin?
Bitcoin goes to 20 grand and doesn't have intrinsic value bestowed upon it by humans? Governments around the world ARE starting to consider Bitcoin as a means of exchange.
Sorry, you don't seem to know what you're talking about.
I was only quoting Greenspan, and pointing out the huge holes in Bix Wier that Jeff should already know.
I think Bitcoin is an amazing currency. Currency has value derived from only one thing: Trust! All currencies value is subjective to the user; gold, silver, wood, art, salt, coffee, paper, Bitcoin, etc. If you can put it to use as a means of exchange then the only thing to consider is, will it have the value to buy what you need or want after you receive it. And because Bitcoin is transparent, open sourced, and decentralized it can be trusted based on the blockchain anyone can see. Governments wont be around long if they use Bitcoin, because everything they do has to be kept secret. Their whole system is based on theft, Bitcoin wont allow it.
Cool...I think I'd assess your view of BTC as sunny:) Now for some shadow: it was created much like fiat in secret; similarly to fiat, it has a controlling elite dumbly known as whales in the cryptosphere; it's an incredibly fragile foundation for a worldwide economy (one EMP pulse and there is worldwide chaos on an unprecedented scale); it eats up enormous amounts of energy.
Also, and this is just my personal view. My preference would be to have the means of exchange (currency) not be a commodity and store of value (so it can't be hoarded), and that a new currency would have absolutely zero debt mechanisms associated with it.
Cheers!
