It's hard to say about ultimate potential, but it sounds like in terms of sheer network capacity, EOS should be able to handle orders-of-magnitude more transactions than the Ethereum network. I think that probably app developers will also come to see it as a much more efficient platform for building apps on, since they can focus on just the business logic and let EOS handle the crypto.
