EOS is new blockchain superstar!
First it was bitcoin, some people that invested early became millionaires. Then back in January, Ethereum shot up from a few dollars to as high as $400. It was like a gold rush, people were making quick, fast, easy money! There are hundreds maybe thousands of different blockchain projects taking off. It's like the nineties when the internet was becoming mainstream and websites were the hot item, except now it's different crypto coins and tokens.
What kinda irks me is that some like to sugercoat the bitcoin and altcoin market. It's great in theory but the reality is that at times it's slow, and it's really easy to lose money. When you lose your money, there's not really a 1-800 help line ready to assist you. With decentralization comes no accountability for when things go wrong.
But now, I'm reading the whitepaper for EOS and it seems Dan Larimar is building a blockchain that has governance built into it, attempting to solve problems like the speed of transactions and anticipating bugs beforehand and having a clear plan of action for when the inevitable occurs.
I want to hedge my bets and get in on some of this EOS but as an American, it's illegal?! I need to set up a VPN... does anyone out there in Steemit land have any thoughts on these subjects? Should I even be mentioning about this stuff? Is it safe?
I think this is probably the biggest danger in crypto right now!
