PLAY SPACE INVADERS WITH EOS
There is lately a lot of hype with EOS, also, a lot of FUD. It was expected that the go-live of their mainnet would be one of the most expected things of 2019. With around USD 4.5 Bn. gathered in their ICO, is not for less.
Many of us ask ourselves, is it justified such amount? Even more for something that so far was purely based on the ETH network.
A mainnet which is based purely on decentralization, I dare to say, a real one since not even Block.one was the releaser. EOS is based on a network of BPs (Block Producers) which act as some master nodes and take decisions together to decide if the mainnet can be live on the following day.
Today I bring you some useful links to explore and check data on the EOS network.
- 1 EOS WALLET REGISTRATION
You may have already probably heard about transferring your EOS to an EOS wallet. Well, if you did not is already too late.
But, if you want to double check go to;
Just fill your ETH address to see your EOS saldo, and most important if you have completed the Contract address association before the go-live (beginning of June).
Something quite impressive I have noticed in that same website, which belongs to one BP of EOS is that they have launched a video game based on the blockchain, which means, every action taken in the video games gets recorded on an EOS block. EOS has as a particularity that it takes 500 milliseconds to produce a new block, which with an inevitable delay can allow you to pilot a spaceship in "Space invaders". Of course, is not enough to play BF1, due to lag, but it's impressive to see how smooth the blockchain creates and retrieves data on the blocks.

After clicking the link above, use your phone camera to scan the QR code, then press on your phone browser, left or right, to launch the game on your pc browser. As long you press those keys you will see how each clicks creates a hash txn which in returns makes the block counter to move.
That is amazing indeed! A sweet and didactic way to show you the power of this platform.
- 2 EOS DAC
One of the most famous DAPP creators so far is EOSDAC, which got such attention after announcing a 1 to 1 airdrop for EOS holders.
Should you want to check if you received the airdrop just put your ETH address on;
- 3 EOS OVERVIEW
Do you want to see a complete overview on the status of the mainnet in real time? Then click on the link below and surf around. So far, more than 1.25 million blocks have been created (since the genesis block), which is not despicable. As mentioned before, there are two new blocks every second. You can imagine how big this platform will be in just a couple months.
- 4 EOS MONITOR
Should you prefer another layout, click here;
Same as some people prefer steemrocks or steemworld to check blockchain info on the steemit platform, same happens with EOS. Same information, but with a different layout.
Remember, only 21 BPs can create blocks per round, and that depends (same as with Steem) on how many votes each producer has. This is known as DPOS or Delegated Proof of Stake.
- 4 EOS AIRDROPS
Last but not least, EOS airdrops. We all got sweet tooths with EOSDac, if you want to know the future airdrops, including date and ratio of distribution, head to;
Many questions are to be answered on EOS, still, so far is promising quite a lot. I purchased a little stake in August 2017, and I managed to keep my expectations low. Can be this be indeed the next Ethereum competitor? Is it that EOS will kill the Steem platform?
Hard to say now, but time will tell. One thing is for sure, there are big players interested in the new technology, and @dan so far can be proud of delivering another great project, together with Antshares and Steem.
We, will keep a close eye to see how this project develops. Please leave your personal opinion on EOS below.
