Will EOS kill Ethereum?

If not anything else, EOS is many times faster than Ethereum. Bit coin can process 3 transactions per sec, Etherieum 30 per sec and EOS can process millions per sec. This is the biggest differentiator. EOS uses delegated proof of stake concept, Ethereum uses chain based proof of stake which makes the processing slow. EOS is first Blockchain Operating system. It leads to faster app development. Reduces the difficulty in building apps which is a boon for developers. It does reads parallel and writes in sequence.
