I agree that EOS was not build to replace Bitshares. Bitshares on itself have a very strong community and this community have also working behing the scene to bring all the advantage of EOS to Bitshares. Even if other build DEX on EOS, Bitshares will still have his uniqueness and it can easily run in parallel with EOS chains. Startup launching their token on EOS will need to get it on exchange and Bitshares Dex or other Dex will be there to support this activities. Bitshares Smartcoins are great products.
Agree. Stan Larimer seems to think that the 'switch' to make Bitshares compatible with EOS will be easy. We're excited for the development of Bitshares 3.0 if it happens.
There are many 'switches' being contemplated. Not all will be easy to implement, but we have already demonstrated that any time BitSharesholders want to 'switch' they can do so in three seconds without issue. "As easy as A,B,C; do, re, mi; 1,2,3, that's how easy it can be", as Michael Jackson once sang.
I think Bitshares community needs to be proactive and position itself as THE DEX for EOS otherwise even if say BitfinixEOS is built but isn't as good a DEX as BTS, they have massive adoption and branding which could result in the masses using their DEX not Bitshares. We all know how fantastic Bitshares is, but the masses choose other exchanges e.g poloniex, binance etc
This is a massive opportunity to put Bitshares on the map let's not miss it !
