EOS Gravity Global Summit. (From the CMO of MEET.ONE, Dmitri Pro)
I arrived in Shanghai for the EOS Gravity Global Summit, it was raining cats and dogs.
It took me almost 2 hours rides from Pudong to Luxury W hotel
Outside the conference, I saw a lot of people in black t-shirts with EOS gravity logo. It was so busy even before I went inside the conference room. I stood right in the middle of the lobby, I can tell that something major is happening.
Banners form different BP candidates, creative logos’ and signatures are everywhere. They all look well represented and professional. Every team wants to show their best side to impress the participates. Entering the doors you can see many people busy getting registered and looking for their seats.

When I got inside the room it was already full. I tried to look for a seat and I had the pleasure to met BP candidate from Norway and BP candidate from Canada. With the music and the lights went on, the sum-mit finally started.
Big thanks to my assistant, who appointed me to the EOS Gravity. It was very considered, as a foreigner who visits Shanghai for the first time having someone who knows Chinese to help around is so much more convenient.
There are representatives from everywhere around the world, including EOS Canada, Sweden, Australia, Korea and China. I didn’t realize that this event has attract so much attention and there are so many peo-ple who want to get involved in the community. I found that many newcomers and new teams such as EOS Girls participated in this summit as well. It is so good to know that EOS community is growing so fast.
There are more than 800 people joining this summit. Everyone gathered together to share ideas, communicate from different point of view to learn and to improve. It’s hard to imagine that there are more than 100 mil-lion communities around the world now and the number is still growing.
The purpose of this summit is to gather all EOS stakeholders, practitioners, observers and newcomers from all over the world to share information, to solve current problems, to communicate different ideas and to learn. This event has been functioned as a bridge, a ice breaker. It provides opportunity for everyone to understand from different point of view to find same ideas, shared interests and based on that to build a friendly relationship between teams, between stakeholders and practitioners.
There are two panels during this summit, one is in Chinese, the other one is for participates from overseas. On the first panel, Leader of EOS Gravity gave an introduction and later on a speech, He addressed the real life use of EOS and EOS implementation. Speaker such as Liao Yangyan, Yuan Dao and Wang feng also talked about their ideas from different perspective.
I was invited on the stage to answer some of the questions during the round table discussion section. We involved topics such as,
What future holds for EOS projects? What kind of public chain EOS is? How powerful is the DPOS mechanism?
Do we overestimate the revenue/reward of BPs and underestimate their responsibilities?
What do people from different communities(both China and overseas)think about the ongoing competition?
What are the possibilities of Dapps running on EOS and in what ways will we carry on building the ecosystem?
All these questions are challenging but are the main concerns and most asked questions in the community, I tried my best to interpret them. Also I heard many good opinions from other BP candidates. In order to lighten the mood, I suggested the BP candidates answer questions freely instead of answering them one by one.

At the end, we closed our discussion successfully with a friendly atmosphere.
I invited BP candidates for a coffee. We shared our ideas on EOS and as representative of MEET.ONE we both talked about the projects we are doing currently.
Later on I had a brief interview introducing our team and the up coming project.
On the Second panel, during the speech section, Eos Korea and EOS SW/eden both teams went on stage and gave introduction about themselves. I find BP Sweden candidate has amazing concepts and vision of EOS system and was inspired by their enthusiastic.
With the help of social media we are now able to share our ideas any time anywhere.
Despite the bad weather in Shanghai, the entire event went well. Before the summit all the Bp candidates can only communicate on social media, and now we have the chance to have face to face communication and seat down together to solve problems and build a better environment for EOS . We had opportunities to meet people every where in the world to hear their thoughts and voice. They all bring different points of views on how to create better environment for Eos to grow and what would the future be like.
On my point of view, I believed that too many different opinions may cause misunderstanding or misleads the way of Eos in the future. It’s important to have regulations. EOS system should be transparent and monitored in a right way, so all participants can sharing ideas openly and freely.
Thanks to Eos Gravity, they organized this event really well. As the representative of Meet.ONE we are appreciated to be part of this event. It provides us with opportunities to meet with other teams and share our vision and development. By understanding what others team’s work and ideas we think it is benefit on the future collaboration. I think that lack of immediate communication is always a problem for us to work with other teams. And in order to improve that we will create better EOS environment together in the future.
Phenomenal post @meetone - really enjoyed your story of the meetup and glad you got to meet EOS sw/eden, Canada, and so many others. Absolutely huge event, wish we could've been there - next time we hope to join the party in Shanghai. Go EOS!
