EOS is doing an airdrop (read For more info)

This weekend I was at a conference called digital LA. At the conference I had the opportunity to chat with several devs about the airdrop for EOS.
The token that is being air doped will be one EOS for one airdrop token on the knowledge base/encyclopedia platform.
I also learned that ERC20 tokens that currently live on Ether will be able to migrate over to the EOS platform.
It sounds like you have to hold EOS before February in order to get the airdrop.
That was the gold nuggets I got from the EOS devs in LA

When I first read this I felt like "yay! It's christmas again!", but then I got this:
"ATTENTION
MetaMask believes this domain to have malicious intent and has prevented you from interacting with it.
This is because the site tested positive on the Ethereum Phishing Detector."
And their website is not even eos.io , so it looks like scam to me.
Be careful
No no EOS will not be airdropped. I tokens will be airdropped and in order to get the you need to go to EOS.io and map you ethereum keys to EOS by registering it there. You will get IQ tokens, not EOS tokens perhaps he should have been more clear about that

I like the Everipedia and I am going to VPN into EOS and try to map my keys. I look forward to getting my IQ tokens and I hope they dont do further KYC that locks my EOS up since im from the US.. Are you from the US? How did you register your tokens? Are you worried that they might require further KYC that would prevent US citizens from registering their tokens for the genesis block?
@drpuffnstuff I heard the airdrop will come after the registration but there is an EOS Telagram group I have been trying to find to get more info.
worse case sell your EOS before the registration.
