Why I Just Backed Up My Crypto Truck and Bought EOS.
The New Ethereum Killer Cryptocurrency Called EOS with Dan Larimer on Anarchast.
Why Did I Back Up My Crypto Truck and Load Up on EOS?
- I Freaking Love Dan Larimer. Anyone who makes it a goal to delegitimize government I am a fan of.
- He and his team are the Devs behind my favorite social network Steemit. This platform has brought my love back for blogging.
- I believe Ethereum and ERC20 tokens are going to have issues in the future. I love what Ethereum has done but I believe there is room for other smart contract platforms.
- EOS sounds like it is going to make building blockchain platforms faster and cheaper.
- I like being part of platforms that are game changers early on. I missed out on Stratis and Steem when they first launched and I don't want to make the same mistake again.
My Approach with MY EOS Tokens.
I am going to set em and forget em! Like my Stratis, Steem and Flashcoin tokens these bad boys are off the market.
You don't have any concerns with the supply more than 4x'ing a year from now and over a year away from any tangible product?
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of an easier to use and develop smart contract platform with the speed of BTS/STEEM, and I fully believe in Dan's abilities, but it's just too far away with too much inflation for me at this point.
Nope, because Steem was much worse and still made it through.
That's not really the point though. The point is to buy it when it's good value. Buying Steem when it was over $2 a year ago would have been (and was, I bought some) suboptimal. I think buying EOS now is expecting to lose money: it's value will almost certainly drop because the supply will be 4.3x what it is, and other coins (like BTC) will rise, so by waiting you would be able to buy a lot more for less later! I don't know exactly when the best time to buy will be, but I'd guess the EOS/BTC price drops in the next 8 months and will feel pretty good about buying then.
Besides, it's not even true (on a medium scale, early on in Steem there was rapid inflation but we werent around then). Steem's supply was ~45% of what it is now a year ago when the price started skyrocketing, and people who have tokens received interest to reduce the sting of inflation. EOS is 23% of what it will be in a year, and people aren't receiving interest on the tokens.
2 Million new EOS enter the market everyday, it takes a lot to sustain the current price.
Especially when there is no product for a long time. Steem had a working site AND posting on it gives you a return.
dude EOS has not even been implemented.. its super ridiculous that steam is 1.44 and EOS is like 1.7 and its not even proven/implemented. Don't assume this is the next Ethereum.
I'm buying every month, to catch cost-average effect. should give me some nice bonus coins over time :)
I don't have a set schedule but I am accumulating too. Added another 20% when I saw Jeff's post. What an excellent interview. You can see Jeff's brain churning as he realizes that this Dan guy is actually going to take down the ethereal bubble.
Yes Jeff was I think humbled by that conversation with Dan.....making all kinds of facial epressions.
What issues do you think Ethereum ae going to have in the future? Ether is remarkably resilient - it even survived the hard fork into ETH and ETC , partly because of powerful backing in the mainstream press.
Dan is a great engineer, but he lacks marketing ability (remember the stick he used to get when he was on Steemit?), and that might inhibit the progress of EOS. Just my two cents.
I see issues when Ethereum switches from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake.
I agree. Dan is a genius at this stuff. And, he's made it so we can benefit from it, too.
Where are you storing them? Trezor?
EOS and Veritaseum are the crypto assets for the future..
Yes this is going to be an exciting plattform. I think EOS tokens will be at some day in the future under 1 Dollar so I`m still waiting to pick some up :-)
I've bought 776 so far and will get at least 1K. It's a fairly safe long term bet!
Where do you buy it? I don't see it on bittrex.
Bitfenix or Kraken.
where are you storing your EOS coins?
For now I am leaving them on Bitfenix.
Exodus wallet has added support and is probably safer than an exchange
Exodus added support for them. I think myethereumwallet should be able also.
thanks, great news
I watched this last night and it's a great watch. Dan has a very clear vision for what he wants EOS to be and what it can do. For anyone wanting EOS in the states and is having difficulty with the ICO, Exodus wallet is a great option.
