In response to a statement made earlier on Friday, user Kyle says the following: “Currently ECAF powers are too broad-ranging and they have no hope or mandate to govern over everything and everyone as much as they want too.
I would be in support of ECAF scoping out their remit and powers to a limited segment such as ensuring BPs comply to both the Constitution and Reg Producer - nothing more - I'd happily support community funding for this. The problem is - they won't listen - they want ultimate governance power over EOS or nothing!”

User Kyle says the following: “Maybe the community is okay with BPs openly flouting the rules they signed up to. Personally, I think it’s a disgrace.” User Khosi replies and says that if he was getting paid he probably would not care either. That is where the fault lies. For this to stop, very important BPs would have to take a stand, which they currently are not. User pad says that BPs have become politicians. They will play ball to keep things on an even keel. User Kyle says that the good BPs inside the top 21 need to voice their concerns. EOSNY are starting to question other BPs who are flouting the current rules, but their voice needs to get louder. User Kyle continues by saying that if we get rid of ECAF, the BPs will govern EOS unrestrained, which they practically already are as ECAF does not have sufficient power to stop them. Based on the current form - this is worrisome as it has become crystal clear that some BPs do not care a jot about following any rules as they have enough whale votes to ignore what the rest of the community wants and expects from them. User Kyle concludes that the current DPoS system of EOS is broken, but he hopes it can be fixed.

User Joe says that there was an idea that EOS plutocracy would work because the whales wouldn't do anything stupid enough to damage their own investment. BPs still get paid, so as long as EOS is worth something, they stay in the green. If it turns into enough of a shit show where the price plummets to the point of it not being worth the effort/cost to be a BP, all the crap BPs could all leave finally with the realization that they destroyed it all.
User Sun Tzu says the following in response to a statement made by Kevin Rose on Thursday: “The Constitution was offered by the 21 BPs to the ABP and the ABP accepted it on behalf of the Community to come. Then, the C is offered by all users to their BP and accepted by the BP on behalf of the community.” User Kevin Rose says that he totally agrees with this statement. The words presented still seem problematic.
