Our focus is providing reliable infrastructure, expertise, and innovation to the EOS network while leveraging its power for public benefit here in Detroit, and communities around the world.
To achieve this, we will make resources available to local entrepreneurs, community organizations and leaders while giving back to the deep well of open source development from which our community draws its strength.

I mean who designs "mass" transit that has to stop for cars/pedestrians?
Why did the symbol name of the token change from EOS to SYS in the Dawn 4.1 release?
It's a generic placeholder symbol name. When the worldwide community of BP's launch the mainnet, they will first need to fork the EOSIO source on github, and rename SYS back to EOS. In doing so the community will be taking custody of the fork, and the launch of the mainnet. It seems to be an additional step that block.one is taking to distance themselves from being complicit in the launch of the mainnet.
