EOS Truthseekers Vote Proxy

For those of you that have been following me you will know that I have been involved in the EOS BP Compliance data/research group. There have been a lot of talk about the top 21 BPs and how they got there. In order to make a change we all need to come together and vote. So I have setup an account called "truthseekers" that I will used to vote for the BPs have helped the EOS BP Compliance team and those BPs that have developed tools to help better the community.

If you are very busy and don't have the time to do the research on which are the best BPs to vote for then setting up a proxy is critical for the success of EOS. If we don't vote for the best BPs then the EOS project will eventually be owned by a handful of people and centralized in one or two countries.

If the above holds true for you? then let me walk you through how to setup a proxy.

Step 1 Download the greymass wallet

visit this site and download https://github.com/greymass/eos-voter

Step 2 Install the wallet

if you are on Mac just drag the voter tool in to the application folder

Step 3 Launch the wallet

Step 4 setup the wallet

• Stage #1: You need to type in the server to connect. Just use https://eos.greymass.com
  And hit connect to server
  
• Stage #2: type in your account name and lookup account
  
• Stage #3: copy in your private key for the account. You should have this somewhere safe and remember to never give anyone your private key. Next hit Compare Keys
  
• Stage #4: Setup a local wallet password. This is another level of security. In case someone does get access to you computer they will have to know this password as well
  
• Enter in the local password one more time to proceed and save wallet
  
• Accept the terms
  

Step 5 Set Voter Proxy

• hit the Set Voter Proxy button
  
• enter in truthseekers and hit confrim

That's it you are done!

From now on when ever truthseekers votes for BPC your vote will count towards that.
