RE: Did EOS Arbitrator ECAF appoint a Gardener to Decide on Accounts Freeze?

in #eos6 years ago

Indeed his dayjob seems to be that of a gardener. Regarding Arbitrators requirements, can you explain how he does not meet those requirements?

Hi there @conceptskip , I reckon the onus of proving his credentials rest on ECAF not on me. This guy just decided to freeze a lot of money yet we don't know anything about who he is and why he made that decision, this is not how real arbitration works. Go look at who the arbitrators are for the ICC, all the information is public:

Hi @tradealert, it's important to question decisions, therefore i would like to know what are your grounds for your assessment that sam isn't a good arbitrator.
The explanation for the recent decision, has been available since friday night, and it perfectly makes sense imo. Hope you don't mind me sharing my own post, but it seems to be the only reference to the ruling: https://steemit.com/@conceptskip/eos-so-you-are-missing-the-explanation-for-the-frozen-acocunts-read-this

Sure man, thanks for the link, just to be clear I am not bashing on Sam, I am criticizing ECAF's secrecy and unclear procedure :)

PS: again, I think the onus is on ECAF to be transparent about why they chose him to rule on this case.

Here i fully agree, the ECAF needs to ramp up their commmunication asap. Of course, they also are just forming, and apparently working on a pro bono basis, so things mmight take time.

sure, it's going to be interesting to see how EOS governance is going to take shape, nice talking to you :)
