It will be interesting to see if the Ethereum ERC20 platform was the right choice for EOS. Doesn't ERC20 has a critical bug where users already lost their tokens?

I also find it strange that EOS is having its own blockchain, but why are they releasing an ERC20 token. I thought ERC20 tokens use ether to access the etherium blockchain.
