New EOS Airdrop: Trybe knowledge sharing network

There we are, yet another Airdrop has been announced for EOS. This time it is called Trybe. The concept is interesting and will be stunning for us Steemians since it follows the principles we know and love.

The good news: if you hold EOS in your wallet and have it registered, the tokens will be dropped to you without further action. From the total supply of 1,000,000,000 there will be 50,000,000 distributed evenly between wallets matching above requirements.

The principle is easy. Create great content and earn by promoting and selling it to users. The following screenshot is taken from the trybe website and explains the principle.

Indeed the principle sound familiar, the interface feels a little overloaded but offers more functionality for intuitive formatting, tagging, and classification of your posts. Some features are hidden but after a short moment you will get along. From my perspective, this is currently in MVP stage though. The interface seems to be based on WordPress and shows some weakness and navigations that direct to the founder Tom Norwood's​ profile.

A key difference is, that you are able to create your own vendor section to sell content to other users. Within closed groups, content can be distributed and there is even a link to your PayPal account available, offering stunning opportunities. It is an e-learning platform that allows you to capitalize high-quality content. Since the number of users is very low, I will probably wait a moment before giving away the PayPal data.

While Steemit uses reputation to assure the ​quality of posts to a large extent, Trybe will touch your most appreciated item: the tokens itself. Some more details:

While it might encourage you to produce good content, it might also cause issues based on users downvoting content just because they can. I believe that a penalty system for those continuously downvoting will be required, too.

Right now there is only a very small user base, you can be one of the first to use trybe. Since some users are registered for two years as it seems, it remains unclear to me how old this initiative really is.
