Reminder: Binance & KuCoin Will Support EOS On-Exchange MainNet Token Swap for EOS Holders - Confirmed
We have all been wondering or hearing things related to this upcoming token swap/registry ever since EOS was launched last year.
Binance has officially announced that if you are holding your tokens on their exchange at the time the wallet snapshot is done and the EOS tokens need to be swapped, they will handle everything for you.
All info below.
Always risk of storing coins on exchanges, we know this, etc etc.......
Other wallets or ways to deal with this are already out and announced.
I will continue to post on this topic.
Here's the official releases from Binance and KuCoin released recently:
Both links here and an excerpt from Binance
Since they essentially say the same thing

Fellow Binancians,
Binance would like to confirm that we will support the EOS MainNet Token Swap. We will handle all technical requirements involved for all users holding EOS.
Thanks for your support!

About a month ago I wrote a tutorial about how to purchase EOS on Bitshares and claim these tokens on MyEtherWallet.
Most of us here know what happens if you leave your coins on an exchange (you're at their mercy). I think long term EOS could very well replace Ethereum. The scaling issues surrounding ETH, BTC, etc are probably the reason why the mania of last December didn't become widespread adoption. So now we'll have to wait about a year or so before this completely bottoms out. I expect the next mania phase to begin summer 2020 and top out around Feb 2021. Next time though, the technology will have matured quite a lot. Maybe by then it can replace Visa / MasterCard...
Heading out in a couple mins, I am pulling this up for later.... but our friend here @joshsigurdson had a friend who moved and lost his EOS and BAT tokens on MEW recently!
Let me know how that happened when you have the time. The main thing I'm aware of is generating those EOS public and private keys online. If you have a hacker taking screen shots and sending them back over the connection, then those keys are compromised. This is why I suggest generating those keys offline on a machine that never connects to the internet.
Did Steemit have issues all day for you???
I basically gave up on posting but had your post pulled up all day.
Earlier this afternoon it wasn't working, but I just used eSteem on my Android instead.
Nice article, what happen if i will send the EOS tokens to my ledger (i will own the private key). Is there any possibility to registrate for the snapshot?
And are there other exchanges except kucoin and bianance which will handle all for the users?
best regards from germany
You can send to your ledger, but whatever the process is to swap nets, you'll have to do it yourself. I know only of those two exchanges (they ARE the two best exchanges!) supporting it.
Thank you but i dont want to hold it on a exchange
Then just keep an eye on the EOS site and media channels for instructions.
Thanks for sharing
