El tema del post de hoy será una bomba de ¿sabias que?...Resulta que mientras realizaba una investigación para una materia de la universidad me encontré con documentales e información sumamente sorprendente sobre la comunicación que mantienen las plantas; si leíste bien ¡PLANTAS COMUNICANDOSE¡ pero antes de que pienses que estoy loca déjame explicarte que es eso de "comunicación entre plantas".

¿COMO LUCE UN BOSQUE DE PINOS BAJO TIERRA?
Bajo tierra las raíces de los arboles en los bosques, crecen y se conectan entre si, formando una especie de "red" enorme.

WHAT DOES A PINES FOREST LOOK LIKE UNDER GROUND?
Under ground the roots of the trees in the forests grow and connect with each other, forming a kind of huge "network".

Estas conexiones son necesarias para establecer canales de comunicación efectivos. A través de estas conexiones, las plantas pueden comunicar si están siendo atacadas usando señales químicas que advierten a las demás plantas de la amenaza para que pueda ser afrontada de forma efectiva.

Increíble ¿No?
Otro ejemplo impresionante ocurre con las plantaciones humanas. Supongamos que una planta de maíz perteneciente a una plantación, esta siendo atacada por una plaga; como sistema defensivo la planta lanzara al ambiente señales químicas "dulces" que atraerán a los polinizadores como abejas para que ataquen la plaga con el objetivo de mantener su fuente de alimento (el polen contenido en la flor de la planta) sano.

These connections are necessary to establish effective communication channels. Through these connections, plants can communicate if they are being attacked, using chemical signals that warn other plants of the threat so that it can be dealt with effectively.

Another impressive example occurs with human plantations. Suppose that a corn plant belonging to a plantation is being attacked by a pest; As a defensive system, the plant will release "sweet" chemical signals into the environment that will attract pollinators such as bees to attack the pest in order to keep their food source (the pollen contained in the flower of the plant) healthy.
