Am I walking the right direction?

Yesterday I received great (and relevant) feedback from a great guy named Chris on my business blog articles. He made me really think about certain things. I do not want to talk about the outcome of that feedback (or my thinking) yet, rather I would like to discuss why is thinking as important as execution in my eyes.

For quite some time I believed that sheer persistent execution is the way to go for achieving success. Not that long ago, I start to question this claim. What if there is another more efficient and shorter way for achieving your goals?

Imagine that you have a goal which you want to achieve. Great! Now you identify the first step for achieving it, and then you dive deep into hustling mode. You successfully crush the fist step and then the second one reveal it self. You also crush that one, and the next one, and so on…

This sounds like you’ve done everything correctly, right?

Yes! But be aware of a pitfall of this process. If you are in execution mode for too long, you might end up doing things, which are not 100% aligned with your goals. Let’s say, that second step which you identified, is not the best possible action which you can proceed in order to achieve your goal. Suddenly, your direction is little bit off. Do it couple of times and you might be surprised how different the destination might be from what you visualised when you get there.

You should always question things which you do. Are they the best possible options for achieving your goals?
Chris reminded me yesterday that I should always question my actions. What do I want to achieve with writing the business blog series? Is the business which I am about to start the best possible one for that purpose?

Well, let me think a bit. Not for long though. At the end, if you think for too long you might miss on opportunity.

Thank you Chris for reminding me that I should never forget to question my self. Also thank you dear reader, for reading this article :-)
