In the midst of being unwell and still wanting to produce content. I decided to invest in my input while resting, living up to the principle of consistency. So I did lots of reading, watching and reflecting. Only when I press pause on my routine that the biggest revelation came to me: the principle of ABUNDANCE and COLLABORATION.

We are living in the age of abundance, in a concept of abundance!

We have abundance. The world is of abundance. We have infinite sunrises and sunsets and the only limitation is being human. Do you realise the air we breathe never runs out, the oceans never run dry, trees, lifestock and plants run in a cycle, ecosystem is renewing itself every single moment?

Pause and look beyond at our playground: the world, the market as I would like to call it.

It also is of abundance.

Success and wealth are always there like the great mountains and ranges. Those who are willing to traverse those territories will stand. If you are willing - you will conquer the mountain. And that goes the same for another person.

Anything and everything is possible!

Resources are abundant and there is more than enough for all of us. Everyone can have enough. There is no need to fight or compete for resources - no need to fight for money!

Yes you read it right...

Let’s break off from our conventional mindset that resources are scarce and limited. Or another classic, that we have to compete in a world which only the fittest can survive and the rest die off. Instead, let us embrace the principle that all can be wealthy and successful because wealth and success is indeed abundant!!

Believe it or not, the real competition is not against one another – but actually competing against ourselves to see if we are good enough to survive in the market, the industry and also if we could make the profit from the market. (Market here refers to trading, business, stocks, or the industry itself as an entity.)

If you are good enough, you will be rewarded by this entity with wealth, fame, glory and success. Because the market is in abundance - if you are successful, somebody else can also be successful! Abundance equals success for everyone, which makes anything and everything possible. When you think of serving the people, you are thinking about abundance - service comes from your overflow, you’ve got more in you to give. And with that attracts abundance. The world is unfair like that - if you give a lot you tend to gain a lot. You will never lack. But if you keep taking its never enough.

We are our real limitation.

It is a change of mindset - to be open, so wide that the possibilities seem endless to the galaxies and back again. Abundance can get anything you want and it is going to be enough for you and everyone else. The principle of what you give you get back is applied in abundance. To hold a bigger value. To change the life, day, time, people around you. Impacting lives by serving customers in need through your business!

Everything is connected. All we have to do is activate the connection with collaboration:

Collaborate with businesses who serve the same target market

This will bring a whole new level of value to our businesses. Take our astronaut, Datuk Sheikh Muszaphar persevering throughout his life to achieved his dream of going off to outer space and now finding meaning in sharing digital education for the underprivileged with Samsung! This collaboration helps to promote Samsung’s brand as a forefront in innovating technological devices, while our famous astronaut further cements his reputation as a symbolic icon of innovative technology in Malaysia. Both parties can benefit, only because they came together to serve a common purpose: to innovate education for Malaysian school children.

The best collaboration may also be the most unlikely one

I have a space – you have an event - let’s make a win-win business deal! Cafés in Malaysia provide event spaces for event organizers. Through these events, cafés can attract new crowd into their cafés and this indirectly promotes their brand awareness among the newcomers. In return, event organizers can encourage participants to mingle around and network better due to the ‘casual’ setting of environments in cafés - a refreshing experience compared to the conventional formal scenario of business events.

Continue experimenting with different ideas, different partners

Creativity is not an eureka moment, but merely a great idea with great execution out of many more which were not as a great. To fully maximize on the concept of abundance, your business must be bold in experimenting different ideas with different business partners. As you continue exploring new territories, you’ll understand your possibilities better and that will serve as a cornerstone to future successes!

Imagine if ideas are shared with another. In a day you will gain 2 sunrise and 2 sunsets. A marriage of sorts I suppose. Get the best of both worlds. It will probably not be an overnight success but going the distance - it becomes a new adventure, a new journey with new people growing a different product. Building it up. If you could only reach the moon on your own, why not collaborate and hold the sun together! Be a brighter light for all.

The value in collaboration is together you can do things you can never do on their own, reach a higher level and of course make more money! But the heart of an entrepreneur is to serve the people and reach the world so much more. The raw idea of making the world a better place. Bringing the world to its full potential.

It would be tough to do everything on your own. A tree would never grow well without good soil, water, sunlight and fertilizer. We have so limited resources on our own – so many other people, businesses, organisations, government agencies…etc who have resources that we need. Find the GOOD soil, water, sunlight and fertilizer that can maximize your tree(company) to the next level. Produce bigger value to people you are serving.
