Need a business podcast to listen to?

in #entrepreneur7 years ago

All of us entrepreneurs need something to listen to. A podcast that we can throw on and listen to while we are getting things done or driving in traffic. There are a lot of great business podcasts out there but finding one you like is sometimes difficult. I have 3 here for you to check out. I have been following/listening to these guys for a long time.

1. Gary Vaynerchuk - The Daily Vee and The Ask Gary Vee Show

Gary Vaynerchuk is a modern legend. He is in front of the curve on almost everything. He it's a big time social media marketing guy and is wildly successful. He is a little outrageous and rough around the edges but once you get to know him he is a genius. He prides himself on giving out his content for free never asking for a dime. His show, Ask Gary Bee, is live on Facebook and he asks his followers to put their phone numbers in the chat if you have a question for him and he just might call you live on the show. Is pretty awesome.

2. The Kevin Rose Show

Kevin is another genius. Technology is his forte and building huge tech companies is what he does. On his show he interviews some of the most successful CEOs in Silicon Valley and talks about start-up and backstory behind these tech rockstars.

I've found I don't watch as much of Gary Vaynerchuk's content as I used to. It's not that I don't find the business content useful, I just find he's covering less and less actual business content.

AskGaryVee, for example, has gone from him taking questions from his audience to basically just being interviews with various celebrities and authors. DailyVee is just him sitting in airports.

I get it though... he's building a different kind of audience now, focusing more on wantrepreneurs than entrepreneurs. It's just unfortunate, because I feel like he's lost that thing which a lot of people were originally drawn to.

To add to that his keynotes are all the same but I have been a fan of his for so long I keep watching.

I also find that they evolve. Like if you watch 5 keynotes that he's done in the same week, or even the same month, it's the same spiel. Even when he does Q&A, he usually goes off on a tangeant that ignores the question and gets what he's trying to say out... sometimes he doesn't even let them finish the question (although he's become a LOT better at answering the question and engaging with the fan, lately)

BUT, if you stack up his keynotes over time, you'll see there's an evolution of thought process, and you can see where his attention is currently being given.
