RE: Spoiler Alert: A discussion about the spoiler phenomenon in TV/film, you'll find no spoilers I'm just asking "WHY??"

in #entertainment9 years ago

Fortunately I have such a bad memory when it comes to movies and tv that even if I do pick up a spoiler somewhere, I tend to forget what it was exactly. A side benefit of this forgetfulness is that I can enjoy a movie many times as it were the first time. : )

I honestly have not run into many spoilers but that is probably because of the type of information i'm generally in contact with.

Someone should start a site for spoiler therapy maybe. Where the user is just inundated with all kinds of plausible but false spoilers related to the show you think may have been spoiled for you. That way you'd have so many different possibilities on what might be the real spoil that you could watch it and still not be sure, and be surprised perhaps. : ) IDK

I like the idea of flooding the internet with fake spoilers. I actually was fake spoiled once.. I saw a comment "I can't believe so and so died" I sadly began watching the show and he never died. That was a relief. Or the idea of having a forum where you go and talk about the show with people wanting to talk about it.. but now in current situation it seems that not only are users spoiling but in fact news sites and apps can't wait to talk about the shows either!! Thanks for the comment
