10 great scenes of Marvel that were eliminated from the movies
Marvel' has delighted us for 8 years with 19 films that have transported us to different places and made us live really exciting adventures. The franchise has managed to improve over time and his latest creation, 'Avengers: Infinity War', directed by the Russo brothers, has broken all box office records.
But, as we could verify with 'Infinity War', not everything that is recorded reaches the final cut. In the trailers of the tape, we could see a scene in which Hulk appeared fighting with all the superheroes, but then we saw that Hulk only appears at the beginning of the film and then does not want to leave. These deleted scenes are those that always remain in the shade, or are added in the DVD versions of the movies.
Many times, the deleted scenes can give a greater sense to what happened, although other times it can harm the final result. And there are many 'Marvel' movies that have scenes that were eliminated for one reason or another, and that is why here we bring you the 10 scenes eliminated from some of the 'Marvel' movies:
1. Thor: Ragnarok. At the beginning of the film Thor discovers that Loki sent Odin to Earth to rule Asgard. Later, both brothers arrive to Norway to take their father back, thanks to the help of Stephen Strange. But, when the scene arrives in which Hela destroys Mjolnir, the stage is a Nordic field, and not the streets of New York, as seen in the trailer. In addition, Odin's wardrobe was similar to that of a bagabond, so the director, Taika Waititi, decided that the scene was "disgusting" for the king of Asgard and withdrew it.
2. Iron Man 2. The scene in which Tony appears in front of a crowd on a stage, surrounded by dancers, had an alternative. In it, Tony starts drunk and vomiting on the plane, while arguing with Pepper. Tony asks for a kiss of good luck but she kisses Iron Man's helmet before throwing him from the back of the plane, while he shouts: "You complete me!"
3. Captain America: Civil War. One of the scenes eliminated was that of Captain America and Black Widow. Both characters are fighting on a rooftop, and Romanoff realizes that Rogers is not going to stop and fight until, in the end, the capi throws it from the roof. Although before check that she has all her equipment on. She manages to save herself by throwing a hook and lands on the ground, Steve watches from above, nods and leaves. Unfortunately, it was eliminated due to lack of time.
4. Doctor Strange. The film is a very faithful adaptation of the comic, but, still, something is still missing: the Strange brothers. And Stephen had two brothers, Victor (the oldest, who died, was frozen and returned as a vampire) and Donna (who also died and was one of the reasons why Stephen became a doctor.) Scott Derrickson wanted to include some scenes of Donna in the film, but, even having the scenes filmed, the director decided that "it did not fit into the film".
5. Thor. 'Marvel' decided to eliminate a scene in which Thor and Loki have a very emotional conversation, as the God of Deception dedicates a beautiful phrase to his brother, "Sometimes I envy you, but never doubt that I love you". Why was this scene removed ?! Undoubtedly, many of us will agree that we would have had a different vision of Loki in 'Thor' if this scene had been included.
6. Hulk. In the 2003 film, Ang Lee wanted the character to be totally naked during a fight between the Hulk and some mutated dogs. But that vision was not approved and directed to an audience of over 13 years, so it was left to Hulk dressed in very wide clothes throughout the scene. Would you have preferred that I did not take it?
7. Logan. The movie that gave life to the X-Men after the puncture with 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'. The scene that we never saw, including the actor Liev Schreiber (he played Víctor Creed / Sabretooth in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'), the director proposed the idea that Logan Xavier and Laura meet with Víctor Creed and this lend your help. But, in the end, the idea was rejected because it wanted to maintain the loneliness in the story, and the appearance of mutants to a minimum.
8. X-Men. The film became a hit in 2000, but surely you did not know that you wanted to introduce a character, who would appear later in 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', but due to the scene that was intended to record the idea was discarded . Bryan Singer wanted to include Gambit, a mutant with the power to grant explosive kinetic charge to things. The scene would show a young man with a basketball and, suddenly, it would explode. But the director himself dismissed the idea because he thought that people would get confused and not understand what was happening with the basketballs.
9. Iron Man 3. Tony is in rural Tennessee and meets a boy named Harley Keener. The boy is being harassed by another young man and, in the deleted scenes, we would have known the stalker (EJ) who gets his due when he is trapped in the water tower, but then he is rescued by Tony, who shows that he is also a hero without suit.
10. Deadpool. The antihero film was a hit in 2016, but one of the deleted scenes included the late Amy Winehouse. The scene in particular made a joke about the problem that the artist had with drugs, because the 'singer' went into a bar and saw men betting on who would die first. Later, she would leave the bar and be hit by a bus, to which Deadpool would say "you had thought it would be an overdose". But this was completely discarded when the artist died in 2011.
These are our 10 scenes removed from the 'Marvel' movies, we hope you liked them and that you enjoyed these extensions of the superhero movies that should have come to light. Do you know any more?
