The Dutchess of Cambridge wowed Indian fashionistas with outfits that On their first India visit, Prince William and Kate Middleton, officially known as the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge, attended a star-studded fund-raiser in Mumbai Sunday night along with some of Bollywood's top luminaries and leading business personalities.
Local media coverage largely revolved around the red carpet arrivals, which saw A-listers such as actresses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra, along with actors Shah Rukh Khan and Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire) and leading filmmaker Karan Johar.
Later, some stars took to Twitter to share their experiences of the evening. Khan hailed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as being “gracious & full of poise.” Referring to the victory of his cricket team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, who won a match the same evening in the ongoing Indian Premier League season, the actor also added: “Tonite as I said is the nite of the King the Queen & the Knights. Wish all nites were same.”
