Monique is asking us to boycott Netflix. Is she crazy?

Comedian and actress Monique is in the hot seat and trending after a recent video post asking her fans among others to band together and join in on boycotting #Netflix. The star is asking people to join her due to a recent issue she had with the company when they offered her $500,000 to do a comedy special. She is saying the company is racist and gender biased because they offered another white female with less of a resume more money and offered Dave Chapelle a few million for his newly released special. Many people have no idea though that Monique is not the first black woman to experience this. Wanda Sykes as well as Tracie Ellis Ross have also encountered this in trying to colab with Netflix for a special or to be casted. Do you think Netflix is wrong and do you feel her claim is accurate?

Monique is asking for more than what she is worth at the moment is what people are saying and a lot of people are speculating that she is taking this overboard. In the process of all this she is going toe to toe with other celebrities about the issue such as Steve Harvey, Sheryl Underwood, Charlemagne the God to name few and I'll be honest I find it hilarious! I like Monique don't get me wrong, but I personally don't think she is all that funny nor have I ever really been impressed with her movies. In saying that I think she should get herself back out there do her own comedy show and show us what she got. After doing so if she is a hit then go back to the table and negotiate a new offer, but as of right now is she worth more than 500k? I don't think so. She has a small podcast and has produced a few low budget films a hand full of people have seen in the past few months. Netflix is paying for the people who are popular and hot right now. She is not one of those people. Sometimes you have to resurface and put in that work. Sorry Mo, but this looks like a loosing argument to me and if you don't stop taking the bait from your peers on this issue and telling them off your only gonna push potential people who want to book you away.
