Chorus: Mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again.

#1: Didn't need no welfare state,
#2: Everybody pulled his weight.
Chorus: Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Chorus Crescendo: Those were the days!

To date I've never seen a complete episode of All in the Family and the only reason that I learned how much of an American phenomenon came from a 300 level broadcasting class where the professor noted that “Half of the audience tuned into watch Archie Bunker exclaim what was wrong with America, while the other half of the audience tuned in to complain that it was Archie Bunker that was wrong with America.” But I digress. Myself waxing nostalgic as the lyrics above, today's Television shows seem to lack the catchy theme songs that once heralded the start of our Television favorite programs.

Here are a few of my favorite theme songs of years past, feel free to include your favorites in the comments.
